With
great expectation, at 9:30am the announcement was made: new nonstop
air service from Boise Airport to Las Vegas and Honolulu via
Allegiant Air. The twice weekly Las Vegas service is
scheduled to begin October 26, 2012 and the once per week flights
to Honolulu to begin February 10, 2013 revealed Allegiant
Representative Brian Davis (pictured with Mayor Dave Bieter
and Director Rebecca Hupp.)
"Boise depends on air service to fuel our economy and to provide
our citizens with opportunities to travel and enjoy the world,"
Mayor David Bieter said. "The introduction of this new air service
by Allegiant makes Boise more livable by allowing easier, direct
access to two popular vacation and convention destinations and
proves that the Boise market continues to be attractive for
airlines. On behalf of all Boiseans, I'm happy to welcome Allegiant
to our skies."
Airport Director Rebecca Hupp added, "We are extremely pleased
Allegiant has selected Boise as one of their new markets for Hawaii
service. The introduction of Honolulu service and Allegiant service
to Las Vegas will complement the other existing air service in our
market. Throughout the travel industry Allegiant is well known and
respected for their vacation packages and affordable prices.
This will be a terrific option for Boise passengers looking for a
great getaway. "
Allegiant notes that the airline will offer limited introductory
fares. Las Vegas to Boise departures will be Mondays and Fridays;
Honolulu flights will depart Boise Sundays with return flight
Saturdays. Flights, vacation packages, and restrictions are
available at www.allegiantair.com.
