BOI Supporting TSA Employees

Thank you, TSA!

Transportation Security Administration (TSA) employees are currently working without pay due to a partial government shutdown affecting funding for the Department of Homeland Security. As essential workers, they are required to continue reporting to work.

Community members who would like to show their appreciation are encouraged to donate items at the airport. Large collection boxes are in all terminal entrances for convenient drop-off. Most requested items include:

  • Non-perishable food items
  • Toiletries
  • Cleaning supplies
  • Baby essentials
  • Pet food

Help Provide a Meal for Officers on Duty

Several local businesses have generously provided meals for officers on shift. If you’d like to participate, please contact BOI-Admin@cityofboise.org and we’ll help coordinate with TSA.

About 110 Transportation Security Officers work each day to keep the Boise Airport checkpoint running smoothly—your support makes a difference.

Large collection boxes are in all terminal entrances for convenient drop-off.
