Southwest Airlines To Begin Nonstop Service to San Jose

Boise, Idaho – On April 8, 2018, Southwest Airlines will begin flying nonstop service between Boise and San Jose, California. The new service will operate once daily utilizing a Boeing 737.

“We’re very pleased that Southwest Airlines continues to show a real interest in the Boise market”, said Rebecca Hupp, Boise Airport Director. “This will be the third California destination that Southwest Airlines has recently added; they began nonstop service to Sacramento in 2016 and San Diego in 2017.”

Southwest Airlines will join Alaska Airlines as the two carriers providing nonstop service between Boise and San Jose.

The Boise Airport recently hosted two network planners from Southwest Airlines. It was their first time in Boise and they were very impressed by the amount of growth the valley has seen in recent years.

Southwest Airlines has served the Boise market since 1994. San Jose will be their ninth nonstop destination from Boise. They are currently providing nonstop service between Boise and Denver, Las Vegas, Oakland, Phoenix, and Sacramento, San Diego and Spokane, with seasonal service to Chicago Midway.

Travelers can visit southwest.com, where tickets for this route are available now.
